Your new Stackwell app

We’re thrilled to unveil the refreshed Stackwell app, packed with new features designed to boost your experience and connect you to the Stackwell community.

One standout update is the brand-new Stackwell Learning Center — a dedicated hub where you can easily explore financial education resources. From articles to videos, everything is organized to help you quickly find what’s most relevant to your financial goals. We’ve also embedded educational articles throughout the app, providing helpful information at key moments, like portfolio setup. Whether you’re just getting started or expanding your knowledge, Stackwell’s designed to make understanding finances simpler and more engaging.

We’ve also added timely financial insights and featured stories to the app’s home screen, so you can stay up-to-date on important financial news the moment you log in. These updates bring the latest tips and info right to your fingertips.

We’ve also created a communities & programs section that helps you stay connected with the programs you’ve enrolled in. You can easily track your progress, access detailed program resources, and keep an eye on your grant and installment schedules — all in one convenient spot.

Additionally, we’ve made improvements to in-app notifications to guide you more smoothly through the onboarding process, with clearer prompts and progress indicators.

If it’s been a while since you last explored the app, now’s the perfect time to check it out! With a fresh look and enhanced features, Stackwell is here to support you every step of your financial wellness journey.

Back on campus at Hampton University

We’re excited to be back on campus this semester with a powerful partnership aimed at helping students build financial security and generational wealth — the Hampton Investment Program.

At Hampton University in Virginia, the Hampton Investment Program is broadening access to investment opportunities and educational resources for the entire community. After a successful two-year pilot program with Hampton’s freshman classes, the program is expanding to offer up to 500 students across all class years $150 in seed funding for their investment accounts — up from $25 last year — along with an invitation to attend investment education workshops and explore Stackwell’s in-app Learning Center.

This program marks a significant investment in our mission to close the racial wealth gap by empowering students to take charge of their financial futures. We’re honored to continue this work on campus this year.

Stackwell heads to New Orleans

At Stackwell, we believe that true change happens when you’re on the ground, working hand-in-hand with the communities you serve. In New Orleans, that belief becomes practice through the RISE (Reaching Investment Success for Everyone) Investment Program in partnership with the United Way of Southeast Louisiana (UWSELA) and the Power of Prosperity initiative with Entergy Corporation

The RISE program provides funded investment accounts and access to Stackwell’s financial education tools to 10 ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households across Louisiana. Meanwhile, the Power of Prosperity initiative equips 1,500 HBCU students attending Dillard University, Southern University at New Orleans, and Xavier University of Louisiana with $100 seeded investment accounts and in-person financial literacy workshops. Alongside our partners, we are working to bring opportunities and education to build thriving communities.

This month, our CEO and Founder, Trevor Rozier-Byrd, Director of Partnerships, Jamie Ciocon, and Community Manager, Chase Lambert-Burton, traveled to New Orleans to oversee the launch of RISE and bring financial wellness workshops to the HBCU students in the Power of Prosperity program.

“As a company committed to driving real change, being on the ground in New Orleans this fall was essential,” said Trevor. “We provide representation for our community by showing up in intentional ways like our partnerships with the United Way, Entergy, and the Pelicans.” In New Orleans and beyond, we aim to equip community members with the knowledge and resources needed to build wealth and create more financially secure futures.

Your vote, your voice

At Stackwell, we believe that voting, like investing, is a powerful way to shape your outcomes and address systemic challenges. When we invest in financial assets, we plant the seeds of long-term financial security for ourselves and our communities. When we vote, we influence the policies and leadership that impact our shared future.

Both actions — voting and investing — allow us to steer our lives in the direction we envision and push for change. By taking part in these processes, we ensure that our voices are heard and that our values guide the society we’re building for generations to come. This election season, make your voice count and keep investing in a brighter future.

Take this opportunity to:

  1. Learn about the issues at stake.

  2. Locate a polling location near you.

  3. Make a plan for Election Day.
