Our year in review

As 2024 draws to a close, the Stackwell team is taking the time to look back on our biggest year ever. We’ve spent the last 12 months working hard to further our mission, and we have a lot to show for it.

We’ve been improving our app.

We introduced our Learning Center — a dedicated space for financial education, organizing articles and videos into categories for easy navigation. This easy-to-use resource helps our users stay informed and engaged with their financial journeys.

We launched our Community Hub — a place for our app users to connect with their enrolled programs, track their progress, and find program-specific resources like grant and installment information. Starting December 18, all users will have access to explore program details.

We built a Healthy Habits feature — designed to help you build behaviors around financial wellness. This feature suggests small steps that help you stack wins like updating contributions, subscribing to affirmations, and using tools like the Growth Calculator. This feature is part of our ongoing efforts to create active support for our users as they explore investing with Stackwell.

We grew our team

We welcomed Dr. Larysa Nadolny as our new Head of Learning. Larysa brings industry and academic expertise to lead our learning and behavioral strategies. She helps us build the features that elevate our app from a simple investing platform to a tool for growing investing knowledge.

We also welcomed Jamie Ciocon as Director of Partnership Ops & Delivery. Jamie got right to work, leveraging her experience in professional services and institutional sales to drive efficiency across our partnerships. Jamie’s work keeps us connected to our communities and delivers impact by bringing our partnership programs to life.

We implemented exciting programs with our amazing partners

To do groundbreaking work, you need to be on the ground. That’s why our programs are the heart of our organization, and we’re so proud to bring our investment tools and financial wellness education to our communities through our wonderful partners:

With the United Way Southeast Louisiana, we launched the RISE program to support ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households in Louisiana.
Alongside Entergy, SUNO, Dillard, Xavier, we rolled out the Power of Prosperity initiative with HBCU students in New Orleans.
With the third year of our partnership with Hampton University, we expanded the Hampton Investment Program to bring access and support to more members of the Hampton community.

Setting intentions for 2025

As 2025 approaches, our Stackers are taking time to reflect and set intentions around their financial plans. Checking in on your progress is key to financial health. Here are a few questions to help you get started:

At Stackwell, we’re here to support every step of the journey, helping you take action today to set yourself up for success tomorrow. And we’re setting our intentions for 2025, too.

We’ve got big plans to grow our current programs, introduce new initiatives, and continue innovating within the app to bring you an even better experience. Our commitment to building community remains at the heart of everything we do, and we can’t wait to find new ways to connect and support you on your financial wellness journey.
